The historical overview of the life of the Hungarian Reformed community in Bucharest in the 19th century discusses the role of its ministers (Imre Sükei, Albert Péterfi, József Dimény), the growth of the community, the tensions related to the shared use of the Lutheran church, and the building and inauguration of the Reformed church. The paper also addresses the liturgical life of the community, the challenges coming from a very different religious environment, and the unsuccessful attempts to draft a reformed liturgical agenda.
